Job description

We are seeking a skilled L2 Support Engineer to join our technical support team. As an L2 Support Engineer, you will play a critical role in providing advanced technical support, particularly for on-premises issue resolutions in Berlin. Your expertise in Windows Server, Windows Desktop, Active Directory (AD), security, and networking will be vital in diagnosing and resolving complex technical challenges. In addition to remote support, you will be required to travel to Berlin for on-site issue resolution when necessary. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to both remote and on-premises support scenarios, enhancing your technical skills and problem-solving capabilities.

Your responsibilities

  • Provide advanced technical support to resolve complex issues related to Windows Server, Windows Desktop, AD, security and networking
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot technical problems, utilizing your strong understanding of system architectures and network configurations
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and effective problem resolution
  • Respond to support tickets and inquiries, offering technical guidance and solutions to users
  • Escalate issues to appropriate teams when required, ensuring a seamless support experience for users
  • Travel to Berlin for on-premises issue resolutions when remote support is insufficient
  • Collaborate with virtual teams to leverage expertise from existing L2 and L3 talent pools
  • Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of technical issues, resolutions, and procedures
  • Participate in continuous learning to stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies
  • Assist in developing and refining support processes to improve overall efficiency

Our requirements

To succeed at this job, you must have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Proven experience in a technical support role, with expertise in Windows Server, Windows Desktop, AD, security, and networking
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical challenges
  • Strong communication skills to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders effectively
  • Willingness and availability to travel to Berlin for on-premises support, when required
  • Ability to work independently and within virtual teams, collaborating to achieve resolutions
  • Certifications such as MCSA, MCSE, CompTIA Network+, and CompTIA Security+ are advantageous
  • Adaptability to changing environments and a strong desire to learn new technologies
