Job description

As a Network Monitoring and Automation Engineer you will build and maintain applications and systems supporting both: Operations (BAU) and Projects departments tailored to company policies and strategies. 

With a network of over 10 000 devices and number of regional Data Centers built primarily on Cisco platforms you will leverage APIs to manage platforms such as Cisco ISE, DNA, Solarwinds Orion, ServiceNow, Azure and multiple other. 

The focus will be to work closely in corporation with the Service Delivery Managers and Network Engineers to identify workloads that can be removed from daily operations and automated. You will be a part of the Network team within Enterprise Technology and report directly to the Network Director.

Your responsibilities

  • Automate the network deployment process
  • Standardize deployment pipelines, tests and infrastructure in close collaboration with development teams and architects
  • Maintain and develop network automation and compliance scripts
  • Translate network jobs into automated workloads
  • Optimize network implementation with global mindset
  • Utilize Python scripting skills to automate network tasks and enhance operational efficiency
  • Collaborate with development teams to integrate network automation solutions
  • Conduct testing of network configurations to ensure optimal performance and security
  • Use tools such as GNS3 and Packet Tracer for network simulation and analysis
  • Plan, implement, and optimize network setups based on organizational requirements
  • Collaborate with teams to ensure seamless integration of new network components

Our requirements

To succeed at this job, you must have:

  • 5+ years of professional experience in networking, network security or equivalent
  • 2+ years of experience with infrastructure monitoring, application performance monitoring or automation
  • Strong knowledge of ITIL disciplines
  • Experience with network design & operations in one or more areas, including: datacenter, backbone, edge, and/or cloud networking
  • Experience with network testing tools such as GNS3, Packet Tracer, etc.
  • Solid background in Python
  • Proficiency in Python scripting for network automation
  • Experience with network configuration management automation technologies
  • Experience with any of the following: Unix Shell Scripting, Ansible, Perl, Python, Bash and YAML
  • CCNA and CCIE knowledge
  • Understanding of SD-WAN, GSIP, SD-LAN, SDN
  • In-depth knowledge of networking devices and concepts
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Fluent in English
