Job description

You will be part of the “Capacity and optimization management” team, which resides in the IT Operations area. The team’s focus is monitoring and optimization – on enterprise level – of the usage of company capacity on all platforms – from mainframe over traditional on–prem to cloud. Along with the daily governance and controlling the infrastructure, the aim is to increase efficiency and access more innovative solutions and technology, while still being in control of the costs.

Your responsibilities

  • Ensure alignment to common processes
  • Create an overview and transparency of our company's operational capacity and costs, and pinpoint areas of improvement, which you optimize on an ongoing basis
  • Provide capacity related input and budgets to our company operational and finance management
  • Liaise and align with product owners across areas & departments – making sure we have operational stability and identify the correct needs
  • Support the team with capacity planning & management, data analysis, budgets, and reporting
  • Take part in forecast analyses and prepare/share this insight with Capacity Management stakeholders inside and outside
  • Sometimes business travel activities

Our requirements

To succeed at this job, you must have:

  • The candidate can have a background of being a skilled and experienced system administrator, knowing how and what is doing a difference when it comes to capacity of the infrastructure
  • Thorough understanding and experience working with the decentralized platform
  • Understanding capacity management from a business perspective
  • Experience within several platforms or an interest in learning multiple platforms
  • A relevant degree in IT or similar at bachelor level or higher
  • Experience from a similar role and a strong financial acumen
  • Good insight into data management, analysis and presentation and business intelligence tools
  • A structured approach in your daily work
  • Focus on continuing improvements – data insight obtained from systems and automation is key
  • Understand what and how Machine Learning can help out with and have the mindset to bring this into the role
  • Drive and ability to drive things to closure
  • You are curious, motivated by new challenges and always seek to further develop
  • Experience with tools like Jira and ServiceNow
