UI/UX Designer (remote)

Job description

We are looking for a new colleague in our Design team at our location in Ypres, Belgium (you can work remotely).

You will take responsibility of design community for our brand-new global fleet platform. You will work together with your peers on creating user journeys, wireframes, mockups, and UI design for the product screens (ranging from track & trace, advanced alarm systems, diagnostics screens and much more). To complete this challenging task, you will work closely with the Product Managers and owners.

Your responsibilities

▪Regarding UX, you perform tasks such as user research, creating personas, IA, usability testing, etc.
▪Regarding UI, you create interaction designs and visual designs.
▪You are a practitioner of design thinking; you use innovative methods with meticulous attention to detail and have exceptional organizational skills.
▪You anticipate, gather, consolidate and evaluate requirements and technology trends in the world of UI/UX design.
▪You design wireframes, visual mockup graphics, user workflows, and low-and high-fidelity prototypes and create clean and visually consistent designs.
▪You work with other designers and developers in a global environment and (remotely) collaborate to implement new ideas.

Our requirements

▪Bachelor’s degree or above in any major.
▪3 to 5 years of experience in UI and UX design (both skills are required).
▪In-depth knowledge of Figma, Sketch, XD or similar tools.
▪Knowledge of capabilities and limitations of web technologies such as HTML and CSS is a plus.
▪Understanding and appreciation of standard user interface design concepts and processes.
▪Have significant experience designing for web & mobile applications (iOS & Android) and be familiar with the technology behind the design.
▪Proven team player with international mindset.
▪Excellent communication skills (fluent in both written and spoken English is compulsory), including the ability to present complex concepts clearly and persuasively to diverse audiences, and at various levels of our organization.
▪Some traveling to head office in Belgium may be required
