Technical Software Lead (can be remote)

Our client is in the middle of a digital transformation, as are the industries they operate in. As part of an initiative to accelerate this process, we will build and scale web development competence to further develop our digital service portfolio.
Join our team to leverage modern web development capabilities to transform our global services across the maritime, oil and gas, energy, and life science industries.
These capabilities include UX design, API ecosystem, E-Commerce, Web Analytic and Microservices using Microsoft Azure, Docker and open web technology stack.
As our Full Stack Developer, you will join a global team that runs a broad range of projects, transforming existing and developing new digital services and tools. We are looking for candidates who are passionate about building elegant, customer-facing solutions on any device. You combine a good understanding of the system as a whole, with deep knowledge and experience with key components and tools.

You can work fully remote. It's a plus if you will be able to visit office in Gdynia 2 days/per week.

Your responsibilities

Scope of work:

Maintaining and developing one of industry largest CO2 emission databases
▪ Developing a digital platform to connect fuel suppliers and ship owners in the maritime industry
▪ Providing ship performance and safety solutions using sensor data to improve maritime operations
▪ Using ship positioning data to assess risk for collision and environmental impacts along the coastline
▪ Taking existing services through transformation to new digital business models where customers journeys allow for automation and self-service using data insights to offer customized services

▪ Deliver the Key tasks as a full-stack developer
▪ Learn Class Production system key architecture
▪ Together with architects in Høvik design of the overall architecture of web-based applications
▪ Participate in Class Architecture community
▪ Align with Architecture Roadmap
▪ Responsible for Application Security in development

Our requirements

▪ Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, or have a proven record as a solid software engineer on the Microsoft technology stack
▪ Experience with relevant languages, technologies, and tools, such as Microsoft .NET Framework, C#, WebAPI, etc.
▪ Fluent command of English in writing and in speech
▪ Motivation for - and experience with technical software design

▪ some traveling to head office in Norway may be required
