Job description
Acts as a technical and architectural bridge between Manufacturing business needs and IT delivery teams. Responsible for translating business and operational requirements into robust, secure, and scalable solution architectures. Ensures Manufacturing IT solutions align with Enterprise and Domain Architecture standards and are fit for real production and shopfloor environments.

Your responsibilities
Architecture & Solution Design
• Design end-to-end solution architectures for Manufacturing IT solutions, covering functional, integration, data, security, and operational aspects.
• Translate business and operational needs into clear technical concepts, architecture designs, and solution specifications.
• Define architecture decisions, constraints, and tradeoffs, balancing global standards with production realities.
• Embed non-functional requirements such as scalability, reliability, maintainability, performance, and operability into solution designs.
• Integrate security and compliance requirements early in the solution lifecycle.
Integration & Standards
• Define integration patterns, interfaces, and data flows across Manufacturing IT, IT/OT, and enterprise systems.
• Promote reuse of architectural patterns, components, and reference solutions.
• Ensure alignment with Enterprise Architecture, Domain Architecture principles, standards, and
policies.
• Contribute to reference architectures, design guidelines, and applied technology initiatives (PoCs,
pilots).
Communication & Collaboration
• Act as a key interface between business stakeholders, IT delivery teams, and manufacturing roles.
• Communicate architectural concepts clearly to technical and non technical audiences.
Collaborate closely with Enterprise Architects, Domain Architects, Product Owners, and delivery teams.
• Work closely with Business Analysts to shape feasible and scalable solutions based on usiness needs.
• Support stakeholder alignment and decision making on architecture related topics.
Our requirements
To succeed at this job, you must have:
• Strong understanding of software architecture, integration patterns, and data design
• Ability to translate complex business needs into structured technical solutions
• Clear communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Pragmatic, structured, and delivery-oriented mindset
It would be preferred if you have:
• Manufacturing systems experience (MES, Quality, shopfloor integration, IT/OT)
• Awareness of industrial security and compliance frameworks (e.g. IEC 62443, NIST)
• Familiarity with modern delivery practices (DevOps, CI/CD, cloud, containers)
