VACANCY DESCRIPTION

Our client is establishing new project related to the maintenance and development of technical solutions for one of the biggest automakers in Germany. You will have a chance to learn and develop your skills in extended stack of technologies such as Windows server, Microsoft Exchange, Active Directory, Citrix, Voice/VoIP, Cisco, Skype for Business, Avaya, lots of Application packaging technologies, etc. The project has started and it’s in its building phase with a big potential to offer development of your career further for the next decade. The Software Lifecycle Service (SLS) Specialist will work within a virtual based environment to manage, submit, validate and test applications to pre-defined standards. SLS Specialists work closely with the software packaging and software deployment teams in order to manage customer software pilots and rollouts, and with the Security, Encryption and other teams to maintain secure customer environment.

DUTIES

•Intake, coordinate and follow-up customer requests for new and update of existing software
•Coordinate, communicate and follow up package development
•Consult and assist the testing and deployment of software packages and images
•Coordinate user acceptance testing
•Perform root cause analysis for software packaging and deployment issues
•Set up and maintain a clear documentation of requests
•Take responsibility for the controlled implementation of the packaging and publishing requests
•Take responsibility for the maintenance of the controlled test environment.

REQUIREMENTS

•University degree in Computer Science or other IT related discipline or 1+ years of relevant experience
•Fluent in English language
•Sufficient level of German  language. If you don’t have it, you need to be eager to learn it
•Knowledge of MS Windows client platforms: Windows 7, 8, 8.1, 10
•Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
•Self-motivated, self-started, flexible, pro-active, able to work to tight deadlines
•Broad knowledge of desktop/server technologies and how they can be applied to solve business problems
•Effective written and verbal communication, strong presentation skills
•Ability to convey technical issues and material to non-technical.

Technical background in one or more of the following is considered as advantage:
•Experience in creating software packages using Flexera AdminStudio and/or Wise packaging studio
•Experience in creating Virtual Machines using VMware ESX and/or MS Hyper-V hypervisors
•ITIL Foundation Certified
•Project management experience
•Understanding of software lifecycle, packaging and distribution concepts
•Knowledge of OS deployment and management using MDT or WDS, Windows PE
•Knowledge of Windows registry and WMI
•Understanding of MS Active Directory, Windows Server (2003/2008/2012)
•Experience with software distribution tools, i.e. LanDesk, Radia, NetInstall.
