Site Reliability Engineer/DevOps

Job description

For a newly established development team we are looking for experienced DevOps engineers. The new team will be developing new features for Company Platform as well as support adoption and implementation all over the globe. This platform is end-to-end next generation big data analytics service that is composed of best of breed tools and services to support ingestion, hygiene, refinement, analytic processing and visualization of data.

Your responsibilities

- Instilling DevOps culture within the engineering function


- Design standard CI/CD processes to deliver microservices-based applications


- Analysis and integration of modern technologies as opportunities to improve


- Azure infrastructure management


- Working in agile and cross-functional teams


- Share experience and mentor junior colleagues

Our requirements

Core technologies we use (you’ll need some prior experience with):


- Hadoop (Cloudera distribution experience preffered)


- Kubernetes


- Docker


- Azure


Other technologies we use: Jenkins, Azure DevOps, RabbitMQ, Kafka, maven, JFrog Artifactory, Tomcat, Kerberos


- Experience with Apache Spark and Apache Kafka is a huge advantage


- Strong programming background in Java, Python is a plus as well


- Good Linux system administrator skills and TCP/IP network fundamentals


- Knowledge on software architectures based on microservices (autoscaling, service discovery, etc..)


- Excellent understanding of SDLC processes, release strategies, software development at scale, Continuous Integration and Delivery approaches for cloud-native applications


- Experience with SQL databases


- Source control – git, svn


- Strong analytical and debugging skills


- English – not less than upper intermediate
