Job description
We are looking for a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to join our data-driven team on an exciting project in the logistics and retail space. The role is ideal for a professional with a strong background in machine learning, data modeling, and software development, who thrives in agile environments and has hands-on experience in deploying ML systems at scale.
This is a hybrid role, requiring on-site presence twice per week. The project is based in Sofia, Bulgaria, and candidates should be comfortable communicating in English in a professional setting.

Your responsibilities
• Design, build, and deploy machine learning models in a production environment
• Work closely with data scientists, data engineers, and product owners to translate business problems into scalable ML solutions
• Perform data analysis, feature engineering, and model evaluation
• Support integration of ML models into software systems using best practices
• Participate in agile ceremonies (Scrum/Kanban), including planning, reviews, and retrospectives
Our requirements
To succeed at this job, you must have:
• 5+ years of experience in machine learning and data analysis
• Strong proficiency in Python for ML and data-related tasks
• Solid understanding of data modeling, databases, and large-scale data processing
• Experience with software engineering best practices (testing, code reviews, CI/CD)
• Excellent communication skills in English
It would be preferred if you have:
• Experience with MLOps tools such as Feast, MLflow, or Ray
• Familiarity with CI/CD, GitHub, and Docker
• Experience with Snowflake and cloud platforms (especially Google Cloud Platform / BigQuery)
• Knowledge of logistics or retail domains
• Basic understanding of the German language
• Prior experience working in Scrum or Kanban environments
