SAP BI/BW Reporting Specialist

Job description

In this role, you are part of the Global IT AMS SAP Support Team as an expert of SAP BI (BW & BO) reporting area.
As an SAP BI/BW Reporting specialist, you will be responsible for delivery of business applications support services (complex incidents, problems & system enhancements delivery) in an enterprise IT environment in SAP BI reporting area (BW & BO), ensuring support levels and expectations from both management and customers are met.


Your responsibilities

• Resolve incidents and deliver changes in the SAP BI reporting area
• Troubleshooting of technical processes such as BI data flows and calculations to ensure proper business operations and data availability for reporting purpose
• Deliver system enhancements - works with the business and BI Developers to propose, document, validate and create solutions to client needs
• Execute testing
• Identifies and solves problems using analysis, experience, and judgment
• Continuous improvement mind-set - identify key drivers of the encountered problem and proposes permanent solutions and optimizations
• Makes the link between the business key users and the BI Developers or external vendor, when the issue cannot be solved directly
• Maintain technical documentation for the supported SAP BI Reporting areas
• Ensures the execution of Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) in a timely manner
• Ensure positive working relationship with Clients, Peers, Employees and Contractors

Our requirements

• Master in IT, Finance / Accounting, Business school or equivalent
• 3+ years of IT support / delivery experience with SAP BI/BW reporting (SAP Business Warehouse and Business Objects systems)
• Competencies on SAP BI Reporting solution in SAP BO suite: Analysis for Office, Business Object Analyzer,Eclipse
• SAP BI platform configuration and administration experience (SAP BO system)
• SAP BEX suite knowledge is considered a strong plus
• SAP BW backend competencies: SAP BW with ability to navigate, analyse and understand data flows, transformations and ABAP routines logics and manage data loading process chains
• Experience in SAP solutions support and delivery; S/4 HANA is a plus
• Experience working with Service Desk ticketing system (Service Now & JIRA ideally)
• Strong MS Excel experience (complex formulas for data validation, comparison, filtering)
