Job description
We are looking for a Procurement Business Insights Analyst who combines strong data analytics capabilities with a solid procurement background. In this role, you will deliver forward-looking analytics, forecasts, dashboards, and market intelligence insights that support strategic decision-making across Global Procurement.

Your responsibilities
• Proactively analyze internal procurement data and external market intelligence to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
• Develop dashboards, insight reports, and tailored analytics packs with clear recommendations for stakeholders.
• Gather and translate business requirements for Data & Reporting teams; validate both standard and ad-hoc reporting outputs.
• Build forecasting models for purchasing demand and expected savings; track and reconcile forecast vs. realized savings.
• Perform savings reconciliation with Finance, including methodology documentation and variance explanations.
• Deliver category-level analyses including benchmarking, supplier trends, Pareto insights, and spend/savings breakdowns.
• Integrate relevant market intelligence into category strategies and sourcing processes.
• Assess external geopolitical, regulatory, and supply risks that may impact categories and savings delivery.
• Partner with Category Managers to drive strategic actions based on insights.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies, data integrity standards, and governance requirements.
• Support continuous improvement and promote data-driven decision-making within the procurement function.
Our requirements
To succeed at this job, you must have:
• Proven experience (2+ years) in procurement analytics, market intelligence, or strategic sourcing.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Data Science, or a related field.
• Advanced Excel skills (PivotTables, Power Query, advanced formulas).
• Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
• Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.
• Ability to work independently and navigate a global matrix organization.
It would be preferred if you have:
• Exposure to R&D procurement environments.
• Experience with predictive analytics or AI-driven insights.
• Python proficiency (data exploration, cleaning, visualization).
• Familiarity with procurement systems such as SAP Ariba or Coupa.
• Understanding of pharmaceutical procurement processes.
