Job description
We are looking for Senior Database Administrator to join our dynamic and highly professional team. It brings the cloud experience to apps and data everywhere, enabling customers to adopt transformative technology faster and simplify their operations. We are delivering public cloud services and infrastructure as-a-service for your workloads – on premises, fully managed in a pay-per-use model at the edge, in colocations, and in your data center.
The Senior Database Administrator will provide technical expertise for data base administration, tuning and ensure all supported data base systems maintain smooth operations through high availability and performance standards. The Database Administrator will be working independently or in teams and have the ability to effectively gain insight and develop solutions to meet customer’s business needs.
Location: Remote or Hybrid, Sofia, Bulgaria
Start date: End of February 2025
Duration: 6 months with possible extension

Your responsibilities
- Deliver strategic account support by proactively monitoring, operating and administrating customer data bases and IT Environment to ensure proper operation and availability
- Provide leadership in technical incident and problem management and in their resolution, working closely with end customers and remote and field support staff
- Develop action plans to investigate and resolve complex issues/problems and clearly communicate these to engineers, customers and/or relevant managers
- Support service transitioning, customer service tooling and design
- Identify and contribute to projects to improve product support, customer satisfaction and team efficiency
- Communicate effectively with Technical and Non-Technical stakeholders
- Participate/Drive ITIL based change management, problem management, incident management
- Support to develop and grow assigned customer account relationships
Our requirements
To succeed at this job, you must have:
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree
- Professional experience: 5+ of relevant experience
- 3+ years of implementation and operational experience with one of the following: SQL server, MySQL, DB2, Oracle, MaxDB, Sybase
- Technically proficient in Operating Systems (Unix/Linux/Windows)
- Fluent in written and verbal English
- Analytical skills, ability to isolate and solve problems and to create, maintain and follow processes
- Excellent communication skills – interact at all levels, across all geographic regions
- Be flexible, proactive in searching, analyzing and solving technical problems
- Ability to properly maintain technical and case documentation
