Job description
We are seeking an experienced Linux Consultant with strong, recent hands-on expertise in designing, implementing, and supporting Red Hat cluster environments using Pacemaker in production.
This role requires a practical, delivery-focused professional who has recently worked on similar high-availability setups – not just theoretical knowledge or legacy experience. The consultant will be responsible for building and configuring high-availability test instances across availability zones and ensuring enterprise-grade reliability in production environments.

Your responsibilities
• Design and set up availability zone test instances with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and Pacemaker
• Implement and configure Red Hat cluster environments in production
• Deploy, manage, and troubleshoot high-availability (HA) cluster solutions
• Perform end-to-end configuration of:
- Corosync & Pacemaker
- Cluster resources and constraints
- Fencing / STONITH
- Shared storage integration (where applicable)
• Ensure high availability, resilience, and failover mechanisms across availability zones
• Support cluster lifecycle management including patching, upgrades, and optimization
• Troubleshoot production incidents and provide root cause analysis
• Document architecture, configuration, and operational procedures
• Collaborate with infrastructure, cloud, and application teams to ensure seamless integration
Our requirements
To succeed at this job, you must have:
• Strong hands-on experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)
• Recent practical experience setting up and configuring Red Hat cluster environments with Pacemaker in production
• Proven real-world implementation experience of HA cluster solutions (not theoretical or lab-only)
• Experience building multi-node clusters across availability zones
• Solid understanding of:
- Pacemaker & Corosync
- Cluster resource agents
- Fencing mechanisms (STONITH)
- Network configuration for HA
• Experience supporting production-critical environments
• Strong troubleshooting and performance tuning skills
