Knowledge Graph Analyst

Job description

We are looking for Knowledge Graph Analyst who will join a project within banking industry.

New project. Purpose: update level of discovering data. Data lake application. Data already is in data lake (big data platform) coming from different sources. It has got some semantic tags.

New person will need to give more context into semantic, give more knowledge/context to the knowledge graph.

You will be a member of the Big Data Analytics team, with a focus to evolve the CIO Data Lake into a semantic Data Lake and actualize the potential of graph technologies to better support the needs of our clients to solve complex analytics use cases as well as improve risk management and operational capabilities. CIO Data Lake is the centrally engineered and managed platform with ready to use data, tools, and expertise for building advanced analytics. With our emphasis to derive a business value of data smarter and more effectively across the Bank, implementing a knowledge graph for the Data Lake is an important step toward our success.

The project team will consist of 2 key members – 1 Knowledge Graph Analyst and 1 Knowledge Graph Engineer. Additionally, both of them will be supported by the Big Data Analytics data engineering team (team of 8 people) and data science team (team of 2 people). The analyst will be responsible for design, management and evolution of the knowledge graphs, while the engineer will drive the design and implementation of infrastructure and tooling for knowledge graphs. The Knowledge Graph Analyst and the Knowledge Graph Engineer will be extremely dependent on each other’s work, thus, they are expected to collaborate very closely

Challenges in this role:

There are 2 main challenges for the Knowledge Graph Analyst role. The first one is focused around the data, such as data availability, data understanding, and data quality. The Knowledge Graph Analyst must be able to identify the key data sets needed to answer the questions that the project is trying to solve. The role requires collaboration with data owners and subject matter experts, therefore the Data Analyst must be able to communicate effectively. The second challenge is researching and identifying necessary semantic and knowledge graph tools and technologies. Thus, the candidate must demonstrate true leadership skills to drive a cohesive strategy to implement the knowledge graph.
