DevOps engineer

Job description

We are looking for an experienced DevOps engineer with 5 years overall experience, whereas 2 years experience working with DevOps solutions, automation and/or AWS


Your responsibilities

  • Build and maintain scalable DevOps environment by leveraging cloud-native principles
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines across different infrastructure environments: developer to production, in coordination with software engineers
  • Scripting and Automation (Python, Bash, etc.) of product deployments, infrastructure, container management and tasks 
  • Implement Security Concepts (Encryption, Authentication, Firewalls)
  • Analyze requirements and support potential implementation/migration of product and services to AWS or Azure
  • Continuously improve and automate ongoing SDLC processes
  • Support the setup of the DevOps Platform team as one of the core functions within IT Infrastructure & Operations team
  • Support different ongoing projects/activities in the area of DevOps (e.g. Adaptive Transformation – DevSecOps stream, Data Streaming)
  • Being part of a multi-cultural team, bringing agile and DevOps thinking into life
  • Provide excellent support to users or customers of the products
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop, deliver and operate solutions that meet business needs
  • Support and perform knowledge/best practice sharing with other members of our team

Our requirements

  • Advanced knowledge and experience in configuration management and automation tools for CI/CD: GitLab, Ansible, Nexus or Jenkins
  • Strong scripting skills in Bash and Python
  • Prior work experience implementation and/or migration to AWS 
  • Experience working with big data technologies: Spark, Kafka, Elasticsearch, Hadoop
  • Deep knowledge of Kubernetes and Docker with practical work experience
  • Strong background in Linux/Unix Administration and experience with ELK, monitoring/logging
  • Experience and ability to work in an agile, entrepreneurial-like environment
  • Fluent spoken and written English 
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related fields would be a plus.
