Job description
Join Natek as a Database Administrator (PostgreSQL) to support the implementation, standardization, and maintenance of PostgreSQL as an enterprise relational database platform.
This role involves designing and configuring database environments, as well as optimizing them for performance, security, and high availability. You will work closely with infrastructure, DevOps, and development teams in a dynamic project environment.
Location | Hybrid: 1–2 days per month in the office (Częstochowa, Poland)

Your responsibilities
• Design and implement PostgreSQL environments
• Install, configure, and administer PostgreSQL databases
• Define database platform standards and best practices
• Implement security hardening and access control policies
• Configure backups and disaster recovery procedures
• Design High Availability and failover solutions
• Monitor database environments and perform troubleshooting
• Analyze database performance and optimize system efficiency
• Identify bottlenecks and tune SQL queries
• Support database migrations from other platforms to PostgreSQL
• Create technical and operational documentation
• Collaborate with infrastructure, DevOps, and development teams
Our requirements
To succeed at this job, you must have:
• Strong hands-on experience with PostgreSQL
• Communicative English skills (minimum B2 level)
• Experience administering Linux systems
• Good understanding of replication, backup & recovery, high availability, performance tuning and security hardening
• Ability to analyze and optimize SQL queries
• Experience with monitoring and troubleshooting production environments
• Previous database migration experience
It would be preferred if you have:
• Experience with Patroni, PgBouncer, repmgr and pgBackRest/Barman
• Knowledge of cloud environments (AWS/GCP/Azure)
• Experience with DevOps/Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or Ansible
