Job description

On this position, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the overall data architecture for the Finance Solutions domain. This includes designing and implementing data models, data warehousing solutions, and data integration strategies. You will work closely with the development teams within the domain and our customer banks representatives to understand their data needs and develop solutions to support their business processes. You will also represent our domain on the data sharing authority and manage our dependencies to and from other the domains.

You will be a key member in the design and implementation our move to a new Microsoft cloud-based reporting solution using Data Vault 2.0 methodology. Analyzing the current on-prem data architecture, data models, and data integration in place as well as the future state modelling & architecture, you would need to identify any potential issues or challenges that may arise during the migration process.

You will also be responsible for the maintenance of the data architecture, ensuring that it aligns with the company's overall business strategy, and providing guidance and training to other members of the domain. Additionally, you will be expected to stay up-to-date with the latest industry developments and technologies related to data architecture, and make recommendations for how they can be incorporated into the domain’s operations.

Your responsibilities

In the position as data architect, you will work closely with the domain architect, team architects and data stewards.

Your primary tasks and responsibilities will include:
• Design, implement, and maintain best practice data architecture for the Finance Solutions domain
• Guide and facilitate development teams and customer representatives to understand data needs and develop solutions
• Represent domain on the data sharing authority and manage dependencies across to other domains
• Responsible for the data aspect of solution design, reviews and problem spaces (in Architecture Cluster)
• Involvement in Master data management and Data Catalogue initiatives
• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry developments and technologies related to data architecture

Our requirements

Preferably, you have:
• An educational background at Bachelor degree or equivalent experience within IT or Finance
• 5-7 year of experience in data architecture, data modeling, data warehousing, and data integration
• A strong understanding of retail banking regulations and compliance requirements, as well as experience working with big data
• Technologies and data warehousing solutions
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

• Strong experience in data architecture, data modeling, data integration, and data warehousing using Data Vault 2.0 methodology and cloud technologies
• Strong understanding of retail banking regulations and compliance requirements
• Experience working with big data technologies and data warehousing solutions

• Experience working with data sharing authority and managing dependencies
• Ability to provide guidance and training to other members of the team
• Proven track record of success in data architecture and experience in the retail banking industry.
