Job description

Join an international pharmaceutical organization operating in a highly regulated and complex global environment. The company supports multiple business functions across international markets and is focused on continuously improving operational efficiency through structured process optimization initiatives.

In this role, you will act as a senior process optimization consultant, responsible for leading process discovery, analysis, and improvement initiatives across global teams. You will work closely with senior stakeholders, facilitating workshops, identifying root causes of operational challenges, and driving end-to-end process improvement projects.

This position requires a highly independent professional with strong facilitation skills, a structured analytical mindset, and hands-on experience applying Lean and continuous improvement methodologies in complex organization.

ASAP - Working hours aligned with US Eastern Time (start between approximately 13:00-14:00 CET)

1 FTE - Minimum 3-month contract, with potential extension based on project requirements

Your responsibilities

• Leading end-to-end process optimization initiatives across multiple business areas, from discovery and analysis to implementation of improvements

• Facilitating process discovery and mapping workshops with international stakeholders, including senior leadership

• Conducting root cause analysis to identify operational inefficiencies and improvement opportunities

• Mapping and documenting business processes using industry-standard tools and methodologies

• Driving practical application of Lean and continuous improvement frameworks to optimize business processes

• Defining and establishing process standards and governance frameworks across teams

• Aligning stakeholders across organizational units and ensuring end-to-end process ownership

• Managing multiple optimization initiatives simultaneously and ensuring successful delivery of outcomes

• Acting as a trusted advisor to business stakeholders in areas related to operational excellence and process transformation

• Supporting cross-functional collaboration and connecting insights across projects to identify broader improvement opportunities

Our requirements

To succeed at this job, you must have:

• Fluent English (spoken and written) - mandatory

• Experience in business process optimization, operational excellence, or process improvement roles

• Hands-on experience facilitating process discovery workshops and working with international stakeholders

• Practical experience applying Lean or continuous improvement methodologies

• Strong process mapping skills and experience documenting business processes

• Experience leading process improvement initiatives end-to-end, from discovery and analysis to implementation

• Experience working in complex organizations and collaborating with multiple stakeholders across teams

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to identify root causes of operational issues

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously

• Experience using process mapping tools such as BIC Process Design, Visio, ARIS, ADONIS, or similar

• Lean Six Sigma certification or formal training will be considered an advantage

• Experience in the pharmaceutical or life sciences industry will be considered an advantage
