Job description
A Data Analyst is sought to support an international data and analytics environment within the financial sector. The role offers the opportunity to work across business and IT domains, contributing to the ongoing development of a central data warehouse and a modern BI landscape.
The position involves collaboration with cross-functional teams responsible for data management, reporting, governance, and analytical frameworks. The broader transformation program focuses on unifying the data supply across corporate control systems.
Previous phases concentrated on establishing the enterprise data warehouse and restructuring data flows for risk controlling and regulatory reporting. The current phase extends into BI reporting, credit-risk management, overall bank steering, securities, and the migration of the core banking system to SAP.
This role provides exposure to enterprise-level data modeling, quality assurance, and analytics engineering practices.

Your responsibilities
• Analysing and documenting business and technical data requirements
• Designing data marts, loading routes, and business logic in close cooperation with business and IT stakeholders
• Preparing and executing functional and technical tests in collaboration with business departments and IT teams
• Planning and delivering work packages independently within the DWH/BI development lifecycle
• Ensuring quality of BI/analytics solutions (data, dashboards, reports)
• Cooperating with cross-functional squads to align governance, architectural standards, metadata management, monitoring, and documentation practices
Our requirements
To succeed at this job, you must have:
• Good command of German (written and spoken)
• Solid SQL skills (standard scripting; expert level not required)
• Experience with data modeling (data quality analysis, core warehouse concepts)
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum environments
• Knowledge of banking back-office domains such as credit risk, market price risk, accounting, controlling, or securities
It would be preferred if you have:
• Experience with BI tools such as Power BI or MicroStrategy
• Experience with SAP or Sybase Power Designer is an asset
• Experience with building societies
