Job description
We are looking for an experienced AIX Administrator capable of independently handling standard BAU activities, system administration and troubleshooting in an enterprise environment, while escalating more complex issues when required.

Your responsibilities
· Provisioning/decommissioning systems - virtual and physical
· Developing and maintaining automation solutions in server build area
· Troubleshooting and cooperation with client Team's - OS admins, storage, network
· Following Standard Operating Procedures for BAU support, Build, configure and maintain all applicable Servers
· Isolating, troubleshooting, escalating, correcting and documenting activities/any/all problems to include customer or technical issues within the Server/OS/HW Infrastructure
· Analyzing technical problems and creating solutions involving the use of existing techniques and/or tools
· Preparing and recommending technical alternatives involving technology, methodology, tools, processes and solution components
· Providing coverage for BAU Unix Server Management teams along with other project works assigned
· Abiding by Incident, Change and Problem Management procedures, including complying with the Service Level Agreements as documented in the Problem Severity matrix
· Create regular reports for Management requirements
· Act as a single point of escalation to L2 and L1 engineers
Our requirements
To succeed at this job, you must have:
· 3+ years of hands-on experience with AIX administration
· Good knowledge of AIX 6.1/7.x administration
· Experience with IBM Power / pSeries environments
· Basic to intermediate knowledge of PowerVM and VIOS
· Experience with system provisioning, configuration, patching, upgrades and decommissioning
· Good knowledge of AIX/Linux troubleshooting, system logs, processes, users, filesystems and networking
· Experience with LVM, NFS, SAN and multipathing
· Good understanding of TCP/IP and basic network troubleshooting
· Good scripting skills, preferably Shell/Bash
· Experience with BAU / L2 support and Incident, Change and Problem Management processes
· Ability to troubleshoot issues independently and escalate more complex issues when required
· Fluent English
It would be preferred if you have:
· Experience with HMC
· Experience with PowerHA / HACMP
· Knowledge of Linux (Red Hat/SLES/Ubuntu)
· Experience with VMware / KVM
· Python or Perl scripting
· Experience with automation tools such as Ansible
