From its inaugural release on September 23rd, 2008 to today, Android has transformed visually, conceptually and functionally — time and time again. Google’s mobile operating system seemed scrappy at first, but it has evolved enormously. From an ancient 1.0 version through its 12 candy-themed updates.

At NATEK, we are supporting projects for a most sought-after institutions for the banking industry, digital security, and identity. What is Android’s recent update and where it could be implemented? Skim the article to find out!

Android version 12 (beta 5)

Currently, Android is operating on its 12 Beta 5 release, and features the biggest reimagining of Android’s interface since 2014’s Android 5.0 (Lollipop) version. It’s simpler and more granular detail with security and privacy enhancements. That design seems to be the mainstream of current times, especially when it comes to the modern e-government reality.

NATEK services: from governmental to banking

NATEK Android Developers work on the governmental services focusing on securing documents (passports, ID cards), biometric devices, mobile handset devices, cryptography, online transactions and digital identity management. However fascinating is that, these solutions are at high risk and the key products and components are then used by governments and citizens all around the globe!

What’s more, in mobile applications for banking, a deep security and reliability is the key feature. In fact, 2018 was the year that the use of mobile banking apps overtook online banking through desktop websites. Banking industry experts had originally predicted that this would not happen until 2020. So that our Engineers are scrupulously delivering the safest features to one of the most recognizable Polish Banks. Its omnichannel platform is built on microservices with distributed architecture that provides API for the mobile banking with latest mobile payments systems, web banking and Branch Customer Advisor interface.
