The shift to the universe of remote work might be challenging for the companies that did not use this type of work before. If you’re starting your transition to a fully digital and functional office, in this article, you will find tools that will make it smooth and easy.

There are many different instruments on the market to help you begin with remote work. For many of them you’ll have to pay but some offer at least some of their services for free. This is a perfect opportunity for small businesses or the ones that start their digital journey. Below you’ll find five tools to make communication with your team more efficient.

You probably have heard about Skype now, yet it’s a great tool not only for calls with your family and friends but also to stay in touch with your coworkers during remote work. While for professional usage and a long-term solution, you need Skype for Business, you can try it for communication with your team. It allows for 50 participants to join a call simultaneously. It’s also a great tool for online courses and webinars!

To stay on top and keep track of your tasks, this is the tool to use. The free version gives you access to customizable boards, a to-do list for your projects, and up to 10 users, which makes it a tool perfect for smaller teams.

DropBox is an excellent tool for sharing documents like presentations, brochures, sales propositions, etc., within your company. The basic account gives you access up to 2GB of storage and availability to share the files across multiple OSs.

This app is a neat and easy tool to track your work time – perfect for remote work. You can do it manually or use a built-in timer. Apart from that, you can see an overview of your work thanks to visual charts.

Finally, the last tool on our list helps you set up and keep track of your business meetings. With Calendly, you can schedule events by sending your business partner a link to your calendar, where they can select a date that works for them as well. The free version gives access to one user, allows you to create a personal Calendly link, and is integrated with Google Calendar, Office 365, Outlook, and iCloud!
